There are acute bronchitis and chronic bronchitis. The rate of acute bronchitis occurs most often after a cold, flu or infection of the breast and may cause breathing difficulties, wheezing and productive cough (mucus). Although the nature of chronic bronchitis is a cough and can not be the result of an infection. Chronic cough can last three months.
