Cucumber is one of the oldest vegetables known to man. We are not aware of when he arrived in Europe, but the Greeks had cultivated it and thought it had wonderful qualities. Cucumber contains no fat and low in calories and cholesterol.
It is widely used in medicine for their emollient qualities, soothing and refreshing, but mostly for their alkalizing qualities.
